Hello and welcome to Year 6!

This page is updated annually, so if there is any information that you are unsure about, please do not hesitate to contact the school via phone or email. 

As I am sure you are aware, Year 6 is an extremely important year for your child. There are lots of exciting opportunities ahead, including the transition to high school, educational trips, sporting events and of course SATS.

Homework

Homework will be set every Friday and will include:

1. TTRS (15 minutes every week)
2. Spellings (Hard copy)
3. Reading (regularly throughout the week)

PE

PE days will change each half term, so please check school communications regularly for the current PE days.

Trips and Sporting Events

There will be frequent trips, activities and sporting events taking place throughout the year. Please keep an eye out for emails and other school communications, particularly where parental consent is required.

Attendance and Punctuality

Attendance is extremely important, particularly during this important final year of primary school. Please ensure that your child attends school regularly and arrives on time each day, ready to learn.

We are very much looking forward to teaching your child this year and watching them develop, grow in confidence and become independent, responsible young people who are ready for the exciting transition to high school.
