SEND
At St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School, we provide a broad and balanced curriculum in a safe, stimulating and caring environment, which allows everyone to achieve, develop, learn and grow. All areas of school life are inclusive and the quality first teaching strategies encourage everyone to reach their full potential. Some children may have barriers to learning that mean they have special needs and require particular action by the school.
We have an experienced team supporting children with SEND:

We work closely with external specialists who help us support all our pupils effectively.

SEND Pupil Voice – July 2026
Our July 2026 pupil questionnaire shows that children with SEND generally feel well supported by staff, with particularly positive feedback about teachers providing help when needed, listening to concerns and supporting learning. Responses were especially positive in Years 1, 2 and 6. However, the findings also highlight important areas for improvement, particularly in Years 3, 4 and 5, where some pupils reported feeling less happy at school or less confident that their needs were fully understood. We will use this feedback to strengthen our inclusive practice, provide more personalised support where needed and monitor pupils' experiences throughout the year.
