Mini Vinnies

Meet the Mini Vinnies

We are the Mini Vinnies and are a section of St Vincent de Paul (SVP) society. We are role models for other children in school and model actions we would like other children to follow. It is our job to organise and take part in many school and community activities.

Meet our ten new Mini Vinnies for 2023-2024

Mrs Poucher from our local St Vincent de Paul group will be meeting with the Mini Vinnies once per fortnight. Our parish link person, Mrs Anna Rigby will be supporting her. They will be planning things we can do as a school to show kindness to others. Mini Vinnies.jpg

Christmas cards for the prisoners to give to their families

Our Mini Vinnies are always thinking of others. They have been discussing the impact on prisoners' families when their loved one is in prison. The Mini Vinnies were asked by the St Vincent de Paul to recycle old Christmas cards and use them to create new cards for the prisoners to send to their families.

St Vincent de Paul mass for the sick and the elderley

Our Mini Vinnies read the prayers of intercession at St Benedict's a mass for the sick and the elderley. They also sang at the mass alongside some of our school choir.  After the mass, the children were asked to sing some of their favourite hymns and songs to the parishoners whilst they had a tea party.
