Food:
Children are provided with fruit or vegetables daily in class for morning snack with an option of milk.
If you wish to send a snack in, please choose a healthy option (they can bring in a small treat on a Friday). Please note that we are an allergy aware school so please check labelling carefully for presence of nuts to ensure safety for all.
Reception children are entitled to a free school dinner. To book lunches, you need to log onto Swift Kitchen . This is a lovely opportunity for you and your child to discuss and choose dinners together and explore the option of trying new foods. If you are having any difficulties with using the system, please let a member of the Reception team or school office know.
Respect Wall:
In Reception if your child has been on the respect wall all week, they will receive a certificate in Friday morning assembly with Mrs. McGuire. As a reward, they can wear their own clothes to school on the following Friday.
Birthdays:
On their birthday, your child can wear their own clothes to school to celebrate their birthday! This means lots of people wish them happy birthday all day. We do not hand out sweets or treats on birthdays.
If the birthday falls during a holiday or weekend, your child can choose the day they wish to wear own clothes.
Home Learning:
Every week, a book your child has read with the teacher in reading lessons will be assigned for you to read together. You will find your child's login details inside the front cover of their reading record. Please inform Reception staff if there are any difficulties with logins or accessing a resource and we can sort the problem.
